The Situation

Today, we often hear that children feel anxious, fearful and powerless. It’s no wonder: the world appears to be a scarier place than ever. Stories of kindness and inclusion lose out to media reports of global disasters and societal discord.

Our Solution

That is why BBC Children’s and Sky Kids have come together with children’s broadcasters and media companies from around the world to make a difference on a global scale.

Who We Are

We are Hope Works. An initiative that will guide children through the complex media landscape and give kids the tools to become engaged, confident, inspired and hopeful young people.

Our Mission

Our mission is to use the power of entertainment to reawaken a generation’s hope. There is nothing stronger than the hope of a child and we want to appreciate the power of their compassion.

The Content

12 global media companies have invested their time and creativity on our suite of 12 short films aimed at children aged 4-12 and come with a set of resources made to deepen engagement and also involve parents, carers and teachers.

When & Where

Our hope is to reach as wide an audience of kids as possible, as quickly as possible. All films and materials went live on World Children’s Day, November 20th, 2018. Please follow @hopeworksproj to spread our message of hope.
